It’s graduation day for Butler Area School District students.
Commencement is expected to begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday inside Art Bernardi Stadium on the Sr. High School campus.
The district says there are 517 students in this year’s senior class.
-48 percent are planning to attend community college
-40 percent will head to a four-year institution
-10 percent plan to go straight to work
-2 percent will enroll in an apprenticeship program
-And only a few students say they plan to join the military
There will be two commencement theme speakers: Students Lillian Ford and Camden Seybert. They both had to audition and will speak on this year’s commencement theme: “A Moment in History.”
