–The Butler boys Indoor Track and Field team set three individual school records at the Youngstown State Invitational Saturday.
–Guinness Brown lowered his own school mark in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.02 seconds. He also ran the 200-meter event in a time of 22.06 seconds, which ranks the fastest in Pennsylvania.
–CJ Singleton lowered his own mark in the 3,200-meter run by more than five seconds. The new mark ranks him second in the state and is a top-five mark in the nation. It is also the fifth-fastest time in state history. ( Singleton, who will be headed to college at Notre Dame, finished second to the #1-ranked runner in the country, Josh Edwards from West Virginia. )
–The 4×400 Relay team of Brown, Lucas Slear, Ryder Kriley and Presley Ornelas topped the school record set in 2020.
–Ornelas took second in the 60-meter hurdles, just .02 off the school record.
–Drew Griffith took third in the mile run.
The boys and girls teams were to compete at the Tri-State meet Saturday at Edinboro, but the event was canceled when their athletic complex bubble collapsed due to heavy snow.
