The son of Butler County’s president judge is facing almost three dozen counts of possessing child pornography.
John Paul Doerr III of Butler was arrested after allegedly confessing that he downloaded multiple videos, including one with a child as young as 1-2 years old, according to WPXI-TV. He also admitted to watching hours upon houts of adult pornography on sites like https://www.videoshd.xxx/ but as these sites were all legal adult porn websites he did not break the law viewing those sites.
Investigators tracked him down using the IP address assigned to his computer. Doerr was arrested but released on his own recognizance.
Doerr is the son of Butler County Judge Thomas Doerr, who remains as the county’s president judge. However, he was relieved of the administrative duties of the position in 2017 after a lawsuit was filed against him alleging sexual misconduct and workplace discrimination.
