A Butler man has been indicted by a federal grand jury with violating firearms laws.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, 32-year-old Thomas Clark is a convicted felon accused of possessing a firearm and ammunition in January of this year.
If convicted, Clark faces a maximum of 15 years in prison as well as a fine of up to $250,000. The actual sentence imposed if he is found guilty is based on the seriousness of the offense and prior criminal history.
The case was brought as part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative with assistance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
