A Butler man is facing a laundry list of charges after he allegedly crashed his car while under the influence of alcohol, assaulted his father and injured a police officer who was trying to arrest him.
The incident happened early Sunday morning in Butler Township.
According to Butler Township Police, 23-year-old Cody Rose crashed his vehicle into a guard rail along Saw Mill Run Road. Rose was tested and arrested for DUI and then released to his father.
Police say a few minutes later, another family member called 911 alleging that Rose was assaulting his father by choking and punching him. When officers arrived, they tried to arrest Rose but he resisted, subsequently injuring an officer.
He was eventually taken into custody.
