A Butler man has been charged with 43 felonies after a child line report shows he exposed himself several times to a child over social media.
Police allege that 32-year-old Gary McCarl met the 14-year-old victim as a family friend. McCarl was then at the victims home a few days after first meeting and exchange social media usernames on Snapchat.
Shortly after chatting on snapchat McCarl shared he loved the victim and began sending explicit pictures of himself.
Police were able to identify McCarl in the pictures due to the explicit pictures featuring his face.
He’s facing several counts of unlawful contact with a minor, dissenting explicit sexual material to a minor, and corruption of minors. He’s awaiting a preliminary hearing.
