A Butler man is facing up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to federal drug charges.
27-year-old Charles Perkins pleaded guilty in court earlier this week to one count of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and crack.
The Department of Justice says State Police pulled over a vehicle driven by Perkins just over one year ago near the intersection of South Duffy and New Castle Roads. A search of the vehicle revealed 2.5 grams of crack cocaine, 5.2 grams of fentanyl, other drug paraphernalia, an nearly $1,000. Perkins admitted to being on his way to the City of Butler to sell the drugs.
Perkins will be sentenced in December and he will face up to 20 years in prison, a fine of one million dollars or possibly both.
