Butler Memorial Hospital is being recognized for its safety standards.
The independent watchdog group Leapfrog recently awarded the hospital with an ‘A’ grade for patient safety.
This is the ninth straight time the hospital has received the positive grade from Leapfrog. Hospital officials say only 30 percent of evaluated hospitals received an A grade this fall.
The grades are updated twice a year. The Leapfrog Group evaluates over 30 performance measures, including errors, accidents, injuries, and infections.
