Slippery Rock University is hiring a Butler native and former student to a position that will focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Ivory Dunlap has been chosen as the next director of SRU’s Office for Inclusive Excellence which creates a welcoming environment for all people on campus through student transitions, mentoring, advocacy, and groups promoting inclusion.
Dunlap attended SRU as an undergraduate in the early 90s before earning a master’s degree in student affairs in higher education in 2013. She has spent the last 14 years working at Butler County Community College in a variety of roles including as an associate professor and an academic counselor.
Dunlap will begin her new position July 12th as she takes over for Corinne Gibson who is taking over as the Director of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion in the Chancellor’s Office of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
