A teenager who was hit by a vehicle late last week has died.
The Butler Area School District says that 15-year-old Aiden Lutz died from injuries he sustained in a crash last Thursday afternoon in Butler Township.
Lutz was riding his bicycle on Dutchtown Road when he was hit by a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Josh Rivera.
Lutz was a 10th grader at the Butler Senior High School. His mother is a teacher at Northwest Elementary School.
Dr. Brian White wrote in an email to parents that they are committed to having support available to students and staff members during the school day. They also remind community residents of the Center for Community Resources Crisis line—which is 1-800-292-3866.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help Lutz’s family.
