Butler Township is asking for feedback from residents about branding ideas for logos and signage.
Senior students from Slippery Rock University have been helping the Township in recent weeks through focus group meetings and drafting perspective ideas.
Butler Township Commissioner Dave Zarnick explains the reasoning behind changing a logo.
“As we looked around the community, we saw how much Butler Township has changed,” Zarnick said. “We’re getting new businesses in the township, businesses that are remodeling, and we as the township looked around and thought it was time for some progress on our end.”
A new survey has been posted to the Township’s Facebook page featuring three possibilities for the new logo and residents can vote through the end of this week for the one that they like the best.
With the expense that goes into changing a logo, Zarnick appreciates that this partnership with SRU students allows for some cost savings:
“Butler Township could not pass up the opportunity to work with this group,” Zarnick said. “The work is for free. These students gave up their time and effort. We’re very fortunate that we got to partner with Slippery Rock and participate in this program.”
The results of the survey will be revealed to the Commissioners who will make the final decision and move forward with rebranding sometime early next year.
