Four people were injured as a result of an accident in Butler Township Saturday evening.
According to Butler Township Police, shortly after 7 p.m. a vehicle driven by 82-year-old Helen Alwine of Butler failed to yield to a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Charles Amos, also of Butler. This two vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Route 68 and Delwood Road.
Emergency responders from East Butler as well as Butler Township Mercer Road Station arrived on scene to find both drivers as well as one passenger in each vehicle in need of medical attention. All four were taken by Butler Ambulance Service to Butler Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
Alwine was cited for a Stop Sign violation while Amos was cited for traveling at an unreasonable and unsafe speed to stop.
