The Butler Track and Field team set two records during the annual Butler County Track and Field Classic at Slippery Rock high school. Orein McBride-Cager broke the high jump record and the Butler Sprint Relay team set a new Classic mark with the top time in the WPIAL this spring. (Relay team of Logan Ekas, Landon Lacey, Kevin Shriver and David Graef). The Butler boys had two other wins at the event. (Drew Knight won the 800 meter run and Landon Lacey too the 200-meter.
Butler runner Drew Griffith was third out of 38 runners in the 2-mile run at a national event in Los Angeles Saturday. His mark in the event set a new Pennsylvania State record.
