Students from Butler Senior High School are receiving recognition for their efforts in media classes.
Students from TV Production and Journalism classes received two awards at the first-ever Myron Cope Awards, hosted by Point Park University in Pittsburgh.
Freshman Parker Slater earned an Honorable Mention in the “High School Sports Multimedia Journalist of the Year” category for a news package she wrote and produced about the Butler swimming and diving team.
The Butler Senior High School newspaper, Skyliner, was also awarded an Honorable Mention in the “Best Sports Coverage in a High School Newspaper” category.
