Butler Township will hold a special meeting later this month for the purposes of considering the 2022 budget.
The public meeting will take place on November 29th at 6:30 p.m. at the Butler Township Municipal Building. This meeting will include the final figures for several budgetary items and is likely to feature a vote by the commissioners to approve the preliminary budget.
Township manager Tom Knights said earlier this month that the size of the budget is expected to increase by about $300,000 to just over $7.8 million with no tax increase. Budgetary expenses include two police vehicles, as well as a truck for use by the road and parks departments.
Once the commissioners pass a preliminary 2022 budget with a vote on the 29th, finalizing the plan for next year will take place in December.
