Many Butler Township residents continue to take advantage of the recycling of electronics and hazardous household waste.
Butler Township Manager Tom Knights provided Township Commissioners with the latest update about collection by Waste Management in the second quarter of 2021.
According to the recent figures, over nine tons of hazardous household and e-waste was collected from nearly 150 households during April, May, and June- including nearly six tons of televisions, over 1,000 pounds of computers and computer monitors, and over a ton of paint.
Butler Township residents with questions about the process of disposing of items like these should contact Waste Management or refer to a handout in the most recent Township newsletter for more information. Glass recycling continues to be offered at the Butler Township building.
