Several area children were named winners of Butler Township’s annual Fire Prevention Poster Contest.
Fire Marshall Larry Christy presented awards to seven local kids in kindergarten through sixth grade during a Butler Township meeting on Monday night.
This year’s theme for Fire Prevention Week was “Every Second Counts – Find Two Ways Out!” referring to the need for a flexible plan in case of fire.
McQuistion School was again recognized for the highest number of students participating.
