Another local township has again received regional recognition at a ceremony held earlier this month.
Butler Township was one of 71 regional municipalities and five municipal authorities to be named Banner Communities by the Allegheny League of Municipalities.
This is the 10th year of the program that recognizes communities committed to professional development, prudent fiscal management, transparency, accountability, and proactive communications.
Butler and Cranberry Townships are the only Butler County members of this non-profit organization which educates elected officials and delivers essential resources as well as advocates for sound policy and legislation.
