Butler Township residents will not see a tax hike next year.
The commissioners approved the 2021 budget of just over $7.5 million at their last scheduled meeting of the year, which was on Monday. The 2021 budget is less than last year due to an anticipated reduction in revenue.
That means a house in the township assessed at nearly $15,000 will pay a tax bill of $165.
This marks the tenth consecutive year that property taxes have remained stable at 11.25 mills in the township. A mill generates $1 of income for each $1,000 of a property’s assessed value.
