The Butler Township Planning Commission has recommended conditional approval of construction of two minor housing developments in Butler Township.
After speaking with the Butler Township Planning Commission in July and last month, Ed Thaner returned Tuesday night to discuss changes to a Summer Lake development that he is planning along Saxonburg Road near the intersection with Bullcreek Road. This would include the sectioning off of two smaller parcels totaling 15 acres from a remaining large property of about 85 acres that used to be a farm.
The Summer Wind development would consist of three lots of approximately an acre each along Old Plank Road just south of Vogel Road. An adjustment to the plan will now see an easement agreement directing two of the properties to share driveway access while the third property will be permitted to construct a new driveway.
These proposals will next move on to a vote for final approval by the Butler Township Commissioners later this month.
