Many Butler Township residents continue to take advantage of the recycling of electronics and hazardous household waste.
Butler Township Manager Tom Knights provided Township Commissioners with the latest update about collection by Waste Management in the third quarter of 2023.
According to the recent figures, nearly five tons of hazardous household and e-waste was collected from nearly 80 households during July, August, and September- including over two tons of televisions, nearly 600 pounds of flammable liquids, and over a ton of paint.
Butler Township residents with questions about the process of disposing of items like these should contact Waste Management. Glass recycling continues to be offered in a bin behind the Butler Township building.
