The Butler Township commissioners will take a closer look at next year’s budget during a public hearing planned for later this week.
The hearing is scheduled for Thursday beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Butler Township Municipal Building.
As they have in years past, department heads will make presentations about the amount of money they will need in the upcoming year.
Township Manager Tom Knights said a budget framework will be in place at that time. Although many of the fixed cost obligations will be increasing, it is still too early to tell at this time if a tax increase will be needed.
