Butler Township is moving ahead with a several storm water project planned for next year.
During their meeting earlier this week, the Butler Township Commissioners awarded the Evans Road Storm Water Project to Bauer Excavating, Inc.
The Butler-based company submitted the lowest of eight bids received at nearly $412,000. Periodic flooding caused by deteriorated pipes will be addressed by installation of a four foot by 10 foot concrete box culvert as well as elevating a portion of the road.
The Township has been working on this project since 2019 and will use American Recovery Act funding to finally finish the work. This work is expected to begin immediately after school lets out and be completed before school begins next fall.
