Like mostly everything else during the age of COVID-19, Bundle Up Butler had to change how things were done.
So this year, organizers put together a drive thru distribution of jackets, and a walk up portion at Butler Memorial Park today.
Jean Bowen with the Center for Community Resources explains.
“During COVID, we’ve had to do much different than how we’ve done it in the past,” Bowen said. “So we came up with a plan. Everybody pre-registered; we have 209 families registered. They are driving through, and while they’re driving through, they’re getting various resources from different agencies in Butler.”
Bowen said coats aren’t the only thing being distributed today.
“We have food distribution and we are also giving out some gift cards,” Bowen said.
Pre-registration was required for this year’s event.
