The Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School will be receiving a state grant to help train students to be ready for jobs that are in demand.
According to State Representative Marci Mustello, the PA Department of Education has awarded the Vo-Tech nearly $16,000 to purchase new equipment.
The money will also be used to provide hands-on training to students in various programs. This funding will be equally matched at the local level by the school or business and industry partners.
Butler County AVTS is one of 32 career and technical centers and area vocational technical schools in the Commonwealth to receive funding through the competitive grant program.
