A Butler woman is accused of stabbing her son in the leg with a steak knife.
The alleged altercation happened earlier this week at a home the two share on West Penn Street.
According to court documents, Butler City Police were called to the home just after midnight on Tuesday and found the alleged victim- a 35-year-old man- outside holding the back of his right leg. He told officers he and his mother- 57-year-old Joanne Ralcewicz- had been drinking and making dinner when he accidentally bumped into her causing her to fall. The victim said Ralcewicz was holding a steak knife when she fell. Moments later, the victim said Ralcewicz stabbed him in the leg.
Ralcewicz allegedly refused to answer questions from police. She also is accused of throwing a can of pop at an officer, hitting him in the face.
She was arrested and is facing aggravated assault and resisting arrest charges.
