Butler graduate Ethan Morton is one of two Purdue basketball players to enter the transfer portal this week, following the end of the 2023-2024 basketball season. Morton, a guard on the Boilermakers, has been joined by guard Mason Gillis in the portal. Both have the intent to move on from Purdue to pursue their final year’s of eligibility.
Morton was a four-star recruit of the Boilermakers from Butler high school and is part of their class of 2020 – which goes down in current history as their best class ever. The group totaled a 110-29 record and finished as the nation’s runner-up this year, falling to UConn in the national championship game earlier this week.
Morton made 29 starts while at Purdue – and will move on to another school as a graduate student.
