C.J. Singleton of Butler High School has set a number of records over the past couple of years, and now has a state championship to his name.
The senior runner captured the 3A boys state cross country title Saturday afternoon running a time of 15:52.90. Golden Tornado sophomore Drew Griffith wasn’t too far behind his teammate, claiming 2nd place with a time of 15:58.10.
North Allegheny claimed the team title, with Butler finishing 4th.
