Butler wrestler Santino Sloboda finished in third place at the PIAA championships in Hershey. Sloboda earned two consolation wins Saturday to end his season 50-1 overall. After falling for the first time all season Friday, Santino defeated Quinn McBride of Pennridge 8-3 in the consolation semifinal. He then recorded a 4-1 win over Aiden Herndon from Cedar Cliff in the consolation championship.
In the PIHL playoffs tonight – Seneca Valley will meet Upper St. Clair in the Class 3A Penguins Cup semifinals. The two teams met twice in the regular season, with the Raiders winning both games. They won 4-3 in overtime and 2-1 in regulation.
