Butler’s unemployment rate stayed the same from January to February.
According to the latest report from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, the jobless rate for Butler in both January and February was 4.6 percent. Butler tied with Allegheny County for the lowest jobless rate in the seven-county region.
The region’s annual job growth stood at 1.4 percent, with employers adding about 14,000 jobs since February 2018, according to seasonally adjusted figures.
