William Byron is the first two-time winner in the iNascar Series since national television broadcasts of the virtual racing has begun. The 22-year old driver from Hendrick Motorsports won Sunday’s Toyota 400 race at virtual Richmond International Speedway. Byron had won the last Invitational iRace at Bristol two weeks ago. Timmy Hill was the runner-up yesterday.
No drivers were fired or lost sponsorships Sunday.
Simon Pagenaud and Team Penske won the latest IndyCar virtual race on a track based in Japan Saturday. Pagenaud took advantage of a late-race bump between leaders Will Power and Scott McLaughlin to take the lead with less than 10 laps remaining.
