A number of candidates on the ballot also met with voters early this morning at the annual Rotary Pancake Breakfast.
A large crowd has been on hand for the 65th annual Pancake Festival in Lyndora, which benefits Lifesteps once again this year.
Congressman Mike Kelly is seeking re-election, and although it may take a while to count all the votes, he feels strongly in the Republican ticket.
“I don’t think we’ll know tonight who the winner is, I think it’ll be a day or so away,” Kelly said. “I want Donald Trump to win. I’d like to be re-elected because I think our staff has done a good job for this district. And I think we’ve got a good senate candidate in Dave McCormick.”
Kelly is seeking re-election in the 16th Congressional District, facing Democrat Preston Nouri.
Republican State Senator Scott Hutchinson (PA-41) was also at the Tanglewood this morning.
“A big day of decisions for our country and for our community,” Hutchinson said. “It’s a gorgeous day and I don’t think there’s any excuse to not get out there and vote. I’m happy and looking forward to what the people are deciding today.”
The pancake festival runs until 7 p.m.
