Fortunately no one appeared to be injured after a car suddenly became engulfed in flames Thursday evening near Mount Chestnut.
It happened around 6:45 p.m. on Route 422 when a vehicle pulled off of the highway and into the parking lot of Meridian Off-Road.
Witnesses say they a man and a woman jumped out of the car when it suddenly burst into flames.
It appeared that they were both uninjured.
The cause of the fire is not known at this point.
