Butler Health System’s Caring Angel Basket raffle is now underway.
The annual event serves as the main fundraiser for the Caring Angel program that helps pay for medical care for children under 18 that come through the emergency room and don’t have the resources to pay. It also benefits family services at BHS.
And despite the pandemic last year, Butler Health System Foundation Director Kris Bowser said their fundraising efforts were quite successful.
“There was a 50/50 raffle last year, and we’ll have that this year, and that went to $30,000. So between the baskets which raised $55,000 and the 50/50 we still raised $85,000,” Bowser said.
As for this year, the basket raffle will look fairly similar to last year. All 50 baskets can be seen online and then an order form can be printed on the website.

The forms can then be mailed to the hospital or dropped off at a box outside the Brady Street entrance or inside the Butler Radio Network lobby.
The deadline for entries is December 8th.
