The Carnegie Science Center is offering kids and adults instruction in and the use of a high-tech makerspace with digital fabrication equipment.
The BNY Mellon Fab Lab includes 3D Printers, laser cutters, vinyl cutters, soldering irons, and electronic equipment to the public for free.
The Science Center is holding a series of Workshops instructing people on how to use the equipment beginning with one on the 3D printer this Friday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Once this calss has been completed, participants can join open time in the lab.
Workshops are open to ages 8 and older with kids younger than 12 required to be accompanied by an adult who is also registered through the Carnegie Science Center’s website.
