Carol Jean Fry, 81, of Cabot, PA, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born on October 16, 1943, to the late Lewis and Augusta (Salpini) Doctor.
Carol was definitely the strength of her family, caring for many during their times of need. She often said that her greatest gift was that of her children, and her favorite quote was that “Dynamite comes in small packages”. She was also a longtime member of Cabot Methodist Church. Carol enjoyed playing bingo with her sister, cooking, going on various outings with her siblings, as well as spending time with her loving family, especially her grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Brandy (Larry) Oskin; her son, Robert Fry; her nine grandchildren, Shane Summerville, Allee Oskin, Kaelyn Oskin, Hunter Oskin, Gabrielle Oskin, Caleb Oskin, Isaac Oskin, Izabella Oskin, and Kenleigh Fry; her brothers, Lewis Doctor, Jr., George “Boots” (Carol) Doctor, and Joseph Doctor; her sisters, Gloria (Raymond) Downing, Toni Herold, Julie (Jeff) Bummer, and Terri Fratto; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband of 20 years, Charles “Pete” Fry, whom she married on June 14, 1970, and who passed away on March 14, 1991; her daughter, Terri Summerville; her brother, Gary Doctor; as well as her her sisters, Shirley Fend, and Marie (Fred) Honzo.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA 16001.
A Funeral Service will be held directly after the visitation at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA 16001, with Pastor David Janz, of First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will take place at Sarverville Cemetery.
