Carole A. Bellis, 66, of Butler passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Butler Memorial Hospital following a nine year battle with breast cancer.
Born December 19,1952 in McKeesport, PA. she was a daughter of the late John and Ann Urish Dobies.
Carole graduated from South Allegheny High School in 1971. She continued on to Indiana University of Pennsylvania earning her Bachelor of Science Degree, she graduated in 1975. Carole earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from Butler County Community College, graduating in 1994.
Carole was retired from the Butler Area School District where she worked as a Registered Nurse.
She was a member of the East Butler Fireman’s Club and an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, camping and especially spending time with her family.
She was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
Surviving is her husband, John Bellis, whom she married February 11,1983.
Two sons: John (Justine) Bellis of Grove City, PA. and Michael (Danielle) Bellis of Freedom, PA.
A sister, Janet (Richard) McNeel of Greensburg, PA. and a brother, John (Carol) Dobies of MO.
Numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA 16001 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 pm 8:00 pm Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 am from St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Rd, Butler, PA 16002. The Rev. Matthew McClain, Pastor, to officiate. Interment will follow at St. Wendelin Cemetery.
