The Jennings Environmental Education Center is looking for local artists.
The center is celebrating their annual “Celebrate the Bloom” festival in July and will include a professional art show this year to enhance the visitor experience.
Professional artists from the 100-mile radius of Slippery Rock are invited to apply for the Jennings exhibition and compete for cash prizes.
The festival celebrates the state’s only protected prairie and its featured flower, the blazing star, which is found in northern Butler County.
The deadline to apply for the art show is June 20. The “Celebrate the Bloom” festival will be held on July 27.
