The two incumbent candidates in the race for Center Township Supervisor have prevailed against a challenger who claimed they sent a slanderous letter.
Current Center Township Supervisors Robert Sloan and Alan Smallwood secured more votes Tuesday than former Butler School Board member Don Pringle.
Pringle told our newsroom last week that letters were sent to multiple Center Township residents allegedly from Sloan and Smallwood claiming that Pringle is in favor of eliminating the ordinance that prohibits adult book stores.
Pringle claims this is a lie and he has filed a lawsuit alleging defamation against Sloan and Smallwood. Sloan and Smallwood did not respond to a request for comment on the situation.
