No one was seriously injured as a result of a chain-reaction crash Friday in Mercer County that involved a couple of local motorists.
According to Grove City Police, three vehicles were involved in the crash, which happened just after noon at the intersection of West Main Street and Elm Street.
53-year-old Douglas Thompson of Grove City allegedly became distracted and rear-ended the vehicle in front of him driven by 41-year-old Joni Phipps of Slippery Rock. That collision pushed the vehicle of Phipps into a third vehicle driven by 28-year-old Maggie Lazaro, also of Slippery Rock.
Thompson was cited for careless driving and one of the other motorists reported a minor hand injury.
