All criminal charges against former Butler School Board Member Bill Halle have been dismissed.
According to our news partners at WPXI-TV, Butler County Court of Common Pleas judge Tim McCune issued his decision Friday afternoon.
Earlier this week Halle’s attorneys filed a motion to dismiss all four counts of crimes against him, including Sexual Assault by a volunteer or employee of nonprofit.
At a parole hearing Friday morning, District Attorney Rich Goldinger said that Halle has continued to contact the teenager while in jail which would violate his sexual violent protective order sentence.
Halle had his parole denied in October and he served a little over half of a six month sentence.
Goldinger described it as a “disappointing decision,” adding that his office is reviewing their options at this time.
