Charles B. “Chuck” Mager, 62, of Center Drive, Chicora, Oakland Twp., passed away unexpectedly of natural causes late Tuesday evening at his home.
Charles was born in Butler on November 9, 1960. He was the son of the late John and Anna M. Williams Mager.
He was a 1978 graduate of Butler High School and Butler Vo-Tech School. Charles had been employed for the past 20 years as a dispatcher and plant manager Du Brook in Butler. Chuck was a well-known skilled game hunter, having hunted big game in Africa and Canada, andy many locations in the United States including Alaska, Wyoming, and Utah. Chuck enjoyed golfing and belonged to a Monday night golf league. He was an avid NFL and NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 25 years, Joyce. A Smallwood Mager, whom he married in Butler on November 7, 1998, a date Chuck selected because it fell between archery and rifle season. Also surviving is a son, Neil D. Watt of Chicora; two grandchildren who were the light of his life, Kaylee A. Watt and Trevor D. Watt; a niece, Erika _____ and her husband, Chris of Sharon; a sister, Joyce Augustine and her husband, Ed, and two nephews, Eddie and Tunch Augustine, all of Butler; as well as a number of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, and many friends and acquaintances.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Patrick Mager.
