Charles “Chuck” Laska, 72, of Butler passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. He was born in Titusville, PA on May 4, 1952, to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Strafalace) Laska. In 1970 Chuck graduated from Titusville High School and in 1973 he graduated from New Castle Business College with an associate degree in specialized business. He was employed at International Staple and Machine and most recently with Marmon/Keystone LLC as a credit manager. Chuck grew up loving and playing basketball and played in high school and at his college. He was an avid hockey fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and was heavily involved with the Butler High School Hockey Association. In the summer he enjoyed playing softball and enjoyed listening to the Pirates while laying by the pool. But to the core, Chuck was a Cleveland Browns fan. He loved his time at neighborhood poker nights and to wear his flip flops, shorts and old hats. Chuck was known for having a heart of gold and was willing to do anything for anyone and was known as “Coach” to many. He was an amazing father and role model to not only his children, but to others as well. Father of Blair and Eric Laska, he is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Stefanie (Snyder) Laska and his son-in-law, Devan Johnson; brother of Rita, Ceda, Autumn and Clair; grandfather of Crosby and Carter Laska. Along with his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his sisters, Jane and Rhonda. Jane had an inseparable bond with him throughout their lives and was very instrumental in his life.
