A Pittsburgh man that led police on a chase and standoff in southern Butler County was sentenced late last week.
In September of 2024 police were called to an Adams Township home for a domestic incident that involved 28-year-old James Livingston. However, there was also a bench warrant issued for his arrest in 2023.
When officers attempted to arrest Livingston, he escaped custody and several major roadways were shut down as Livingston attempted to escape. At one-point Livingston even attempted to escape custody by taking an Uber.
He was eventually taken into custody and on Thursday he pled guilty to fleeing or attempting to elude an officer and several driving offenses. He was sentenced to 6 to 23 months in prison, but was paroled with time served, 40 hours of community service, and pay $3,007 in fines, fees, and cost of prosecution.
