As we celebrate George Washington’s birthday today, an annual event this weekend hits a big milestone.
This Saturday will mark the 20th annual Cherry Pie Hike which takes residents on a seven mile journey detailing the former president’s 1753 trip in the region.
Hikers will meet re-enactors portraying Washington and others he meant during his journey.
There is a $3 donation to secure a hiking spot. A reservation must be made by Thursday and can be done online.
