A house was significantly damaged in a fire Thursday night in Cherry Township.
Crews from Slippery Rock and surrounding departments were called to a fire on Saniga Road around 8:50 p.m. last night.
Upon arrival, crews found a two-story home with heavy fire coming from the back of the house.
A tanker truck was called in because there was no water nearby.
According to a Facebook post from the Slippery Rock VFD, the flames were quickly knocked down and an extensive overhaul had to be done in order to prevent future damage.
It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the fire. The cause is also unknown at this point.
