An online event later this week will provide information for chicken owners about ethical handling and transportation.
Penn State Extension is offering a free webinar Monday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. titled “Poultry Handling and Transportation Certification”.
The Penn State Extension poultry team will teach participants best practices for humane handling of poultry before, during and after transport as well as assessing fitness, biosecurity measures, and managing emergencies.
Registration is $5 and is required before the webinar through the Penn State Extension website.
