State health officials say children above the age of 13 can now download the COVID Alert PA app.
Children need parental or guardian permission to download the app, but state health officials believe this can be another step to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
So far, more than 600,000 state residents have downloaded the app that alerts people if they have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
