Butler Township recently completed its first ever “Safety Town” week.
The camp saw children from around the area have a chance to learn about a number of ways to stay safe in a variety of situations.
Local officials were brought in all last week to talk to kids about subjects like bus, water, and drug safety. Children also had a chance to speak with police officers and firefighters.
This was the first year of camp in Butler Township. The Safety Town program has been around nationwide for the last 30 years and is hosted by many different organizations.
