Christopher P. Green, our beloved, known for his kindness, gentleness, caring, and quick-witted humor, passed away on December 17th, 2024 due to a brain aneurysm.
Born on December 4th, 1982 in Butler to his parents Kimberly and Stephen, he had just celebrated his 42nd birthday.
He graduated from Butler High School, and earned a Bachelors in Information Technology from Slippery Rock University. He worked at Butler Memorial Hospital in the IT Department as a Systems Engineer.
Christopher met his wife Emily while attending Slippery Rock, and together they spent twelve happy years together, seven of them married, and went on to have one child, Elijah, in 2021.
In his spare time, Christopher loved tinkering with computers, playing video and board games, traveling and trying new foods, and spending quality time with his wife and son, along with family and friends. He was always trying to get people to laugh, loved sliding in subtle jokes into every conversation, with the goal of getting just one person to laugh and confusing the rest.
Christopher was predeceased by his grandfather and grandmother William and Annie Firster, his aunt Lori McClimans, his uncle Charles Firster, and his grandfather and grandmother Guy and Irene Green.
He is survived by his wife Emily Green, son Elijah Green, parents Stephen and Kimberly Green, sister and brother-in-law Sarah and Chris Walaschek, nephews Brayden and Cyrus Walaschek, mother and father in-laws Scott and Fontaine Day, sister in-law Anna Day, and numerous other cousins and in-laws.
Christopher was able to become an organ donor, helping out multiple people through his final act of kindness. His passing was wholly unexpected and much too soon. He will always be missed, and always in our hearts.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, December 23, 2024, with Funeral Services to begin at 6:45 pm, at the Funeral Home.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests donations be made to UNICEF, an organization that provides humanitarian aid to children worldwide.
